HARDLOPENRUNNING GETAWAY MAY
This running holiday is aimed at recreational runners who want to enjoy daily training sessions in a unique setting under professional guidance whilst on holiday. Suitable for beginners (as a guideline, you should be able to run at least 5km continuously at a pace of 6 minutes 30 seconds per kilometre) as well as for more advanced runners looking to give their training routines a boost. If there is a significant difference in ability within the group, we will add a second trainer for certain sessions.
For performance-oriented runners (specific race preparation and performance analysis), we are happy to organise a different Getaway; please contact us for this!
You will be staying at Calderona Wellness Hotel, a resort offering the perfect combination of sport, healthy living and relaxation. There is an outdoor and indoor gym, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a restaurant with a lovely terrace. For enthusiasts, there are also padel courts and an extensive spa!
For this Getaway, we are collaborating with the local triathlon and running club CEA Bétera. Running coaches Josep and Gerard will guide you through a carefully designed and varied training programme focusing on endurance, technique and speed. Strength and core stability for runners will also be covered. After the training sessions, you’ll enjoy a Mediterranean lunch and have the freedom to enjoy the resort or the surrounding area (Valencia city is a 15-minute taxi ride away).
